It was a late night for the 17th ranked Lady Eagles volleyball team as the first serve went up after 8pm on a Tuesday night vs the visiting Robinson Lady Rockets.
Salado Lady Eagles Volleyball
The Lady Eagles (27-14) cruised comfortably to their 14th straight match victory in straight sets of the Lady Cadets of Waco Connally on Oct. 14.
Salado Lady Eagles are undefeated in district play and have extended their win streak to 12 games after escaping a five-set match against China Spring Oct. 7 and sweeping Gatesville in three Oct. 4.
Salado Lady Eagles faced a familiar foe in former district opponent Georgetown Gateway (12-5) on Sept. 20 at home.
Salado’s Varsity squad has won 13 of their last 15 including six straight. The girls hosted the visiting Lady Mustangs of Marble Falls in a non-district match on Sept. 16.
Salado Varsity Lady Eagles hosted Academy Sept. 6.
In a rematch from mid- August where Salado won 2-0, the Lady Bees of Academy came into Salado with a 16-9 record and winners of 8 of their last 9 matches, but would come back down to earth against the Lady Eagles.
Salado Lady Eagles traveled west Sept. 2 to face off with the Killeen Lady Kangaroos where they completed the straight-set victory 25-11, 25-20, 25-15.
The Salado Lady Eagles took a little time to settle against the visiting Savio squad, but were able to come away with a straight set victory (25-22, 25-15, 25-14) on Aug. 26.
The Lady Eagles varsity volleyball program spent the weekend playing in the Pflugerville Volleypfest where they found themselves against some tough competition.
Salado Lady Eagles (1-0) came out swinging and never gave the visiting Lampasas Lady Badgers much hope Aug. 8 in the season volleyabll opener.
