When Reese Rich took the service line in the third set of their Bi-District Volleyball match, Salado Lady Eagles were trailing the Smithville Lady Tigers 14-18. When she was done, the Lady Eagles had rattled off nine straight points and held a commanding 23-19 lead.
Salado held on as the Lady Tigers made a last ditch effort, closing the gap to 24-23 before their last serve went in the net, lifting Salado to a three-set sweep.

The Lady Eagles had their calendar marked for weeks after letting a 2 set lead slip away in Burnet during their first meeting and tonight’s match had a poetic ending as Salado completed a comeback of their own, down 0 sets to 2.
Salado Lady Eagles swept both of their District competitors last week and are in second place in District play behind Burnet.

Salado Volleyball matched up against Lake Belton Volleyball on Sept. 28 in Salado and got the best of their opponent in four sets (25-15, 25-23, 20-25, 25-23). The Lady Eagles grabbed an early lead and Lake Belton could never get closer than 2-1 before Salado took the win in four.
Salado Varsity Lady Eagles jumped out on the Lady Ducks of Taylor Sept. 24 and never let up as they cruised to a straight sets victory with scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.
Salado Lady Eagles fell in five sets to the Academy Lady Bees in a non-district volleyball match.
Varsity
The Red Posse handled business in straight sets tonight at home against Cedar Creek (Bastrop, TX). Salado jumped out with a 25-16 victory and would follow it up with convincing 25-17 and 25-14 victories.
Salado Lady Eagles will face the #3 China Spring Lady Cougars in the Area Round of the UIL 4A volleyball playoffs, after sweeping the Smithville Lady Tigers 25-15, 25-13 and 25-19 Oct. 29 at Georgetown High School.
