Salado school trustees faced a crowd of more than a hundred parents May 15, many of whom were concerned with an incident the week before involving a threat made by a Middle School student and the district’s response, or apparent lack of response, in informing parents of the incident.

Salado Lady Eagles’ season came down to a tenth of a second here at Northwest ISD Stadium in the Fort Worth area.
That’s all that was left in the first overtime period between the Lady Eagles and the Stephenville Honeybees when Stephenville senior Victoria Cameron got a shot past senior goalkeeper Fran Blancaflor to put the Honeybees up 2-1.

Salado Lady Eagles shut out Wichita Falls Lady Coyotes, 2-0, in the 4A Region 1 semi-final soccer match, scoring both goals in the early part of the second half.
[Read more…] about Lady Eagles shut out Wichita Falls in Region semi-finalThe Salado High School Speech and Debate Team competed at the UIL State Congress Meet Jan. 4-5. Prelims were held at the University of Texas and finals were held at the Texas State Capitol, where 360 students competed in the state tournament.
Results are as follows: James Tipton, Medalist, sixth and Laura Ball, Finalist, 13th.
UIL introduced congressional debate in 2014. Since then, Salado High School has won the state championship five times.
The Salado High School Speech and Debate Team will compete next at the Brock UIL Meet on Jan. 21 and the Midway UIL/TFA Meet on Jan. 28. The team is coached by Tim Cook.
Six Salado cheerleaders will participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on Nov. 24, broadcast on NBC or Peacock (streaming) beginning at 8 a.m. CST.
To be invited to perform in the Macy’s Day Parade, the cheerleaders received a Spirit Star Award at the 2022 summer cheer camp held in Irving-Las Colinas conducted by Express Cheer June 9-12.

Salado Lady Eagles fell in four sets to the Hargrave Lady Falcons in the 4A Region III semi-finals tonight, 25-20, 13-25, 25-19, 25-23 despite leading 17-16 and 22-18 in the third and fourth sets respectively.
