Salado High hosted a track meet last week with the boys placing third and the girls placing second in their divisions.
Salado Eagles struggled in the Rogers baseball tournament, taking home three losses and one win.
Jillian Taylor scored the only goal in regulation for the Salado Lady Eagles, who tied Gatesville March 1 at 1-1. After two 10-minute overtime periods, the teams were still knotted at 1-1. Salado lost the match on penalty kicks.
The girls bounced back from the loss to shut out Florence 8-0 on March 4.
Lexi Rice scored two goals. Also scoring goals for the girls were Maria Pauer, Evelyn Ackerman, Maddy Schulz, Haley Piatak, Kennedy Anthony, and Cassie Vargas.
The Varsity Lady Eagle softball team was able to pick up four wins while only dropping two games over the weekend in the Salado-East View Tournament. On the weekend the Eagles were able to earn wins against Harker Hts. 6-3, Lampasas 6-0, Bastrop 16-2 and Austin LBJ 14-0. The losses were to Elgin 5-0 and Centex rival Troy 11-4

Salado claimed the 18-4A District Soccer Championship by shutting out Gatesville 8-0 March 1.
The girls powerlifting team placed 3rd overall at the Region 2 Division 2 Powerlifting Meet. The Girls will be competing at the State Powerlifting Meet on Friday, March 18th in Corpus Christi.

Salado Eagles have a commanding control of District soccer with a 10-0 record in District 18-4A and recent shut outs of Lampasas, Academy and Lake Belton. Salado is 15-3 on the year, as of presstime.
Salado Lady Eagles beat Lampasas and Academy in district soccer to improve to 8-1 and remain in second place in the eight-team soccer district.
